Portable storage

Moving storage

Keep your move flexible — load once at your current address, then store or deliver to your next place.

Why portable storage for a move

Closing dates, renovations, and lease gaps rarely line up on one day. A portable unit lets you pack on your schedule without renting a truck for every trip. We place a steel container at your current address; you load it; then we can hold it in our climate-controlled warehouse or move it to your next site when access is confirmed.

Typical move workflow

  1. Request an estimate with both addresses (or one address plus warehouse intent) and a preferred unit size.
  2. SOS confirms access, scheduling, and pricing — an estimate is not a reservation.
  3. We deliver the unit; you pack at your pace (SOS does not load or unload for you).
  4. We store the loaded unit in our climate-controlled warehouse or move it to the next address when confirmed.

Choosing a size

Most household moves use a 16′ or 20′ unit. See container sizes for exterior dimensions. Ask during your estimate if you need sizing guidance — we do not publish room-count or weight guarantees.

An online estimate is a planning figure, not a reservation. Final confirmation of availability, inventory, and pricing comes from SOS.
